The field of life is ambiguous
as far as a desirable outcome goes,
there’s no consensus
and the methods to achieving one's own ends
are myriad and untested

Something beautiful brings its blowhole to the surface
and in the spray a small rainbow dissolves---
Is life worth it?
High in the atmosphere, Botan's oar breaks the limpid waters of Styx with
pure crystal resonance
but no ones ever heard it

We bide our time until we can best bide our time
when it’s not working we know it’s working
it takes no effort
what it takes is something stranger than that---
probably depends on your hostility towards the years passing

It’s June and everything the clouds the buds and the tall grasses
are frayed at the ends, flowering, and in the wind laughing and chattering
from behind the leaves the tree yokai insinuating
always seemed to be teasing
or was she only in her eternity
hurt to see you're one among those
whose lives are lapsing?
